Obstacles/Complications
QuickLay Solution
- Fire fighting operations can be delayed due to complications of laying and dragging hose around corners, upstairs or up ladders
- The QuickLay Packs are designed to maintain the hose bundle until a deliberate attempt is made to deploy the hose inside. The Attack Pack can be deployed in the entry to or the asile of an aircraft.
- Hose is too heavy to have dangling from the plane door, it is because of this weight that it cannot be easily advanced into the fire compartment
- Using the hose securing strap (comes with every pack) the Lay Pack can be secured and dropped down to a waiting fire appliance. The Attack Pack can then be charged inside the entry door, then easily advanced straight from the coil.
